I was very excited to share some of what I have been learning from the awesome CD and DVD from www.healingdrummer.com - Toby Christianson. Fire, Water, Earth, Nature, Minerals. The 5 elements of life with rhythm energy beats to honor and connect. So nice to have the conch shell open Water.....by Marcie. Something about drumming to mother earth that connects our hearts and souls. A beautiful community and blend of feminine and masculine energy in the circle.

Connecting to the cosmos and remaining grounded while we let go of what stops us in our tracks and open our hearts to the new, the beautiful, the Divine Love. Yes, the portals were open in full force. Italian land was a pilgrimage place for the light workers as the portals opened to release the divine light and love energies needed to Shift our planet. We played the Harvest Rhythm with our community of friends and neighbors. We found our rhythm, we connected with the light. As special treat and guests were Lori and Karen. Lori plays the Tibetan Bowls and treated us to the wonderful vibrational sounds adding healing to our circle. It was a glorious night. The night finally arrived along with thundering rains and storms, but the community turned out for the fun drum circle. Great to have the teen youth group -- they loaded and unloaded my car with expert ease and still had energy leftover. Miraculous. We had a wonderful time, dancing, singing, learning rhythms, and ending with Rhythm Church Percussion Ceremony. The Best! Thanks UU Buckman. Oh, what a weekend of dual events to share TaKeTiNa with my community - both downtown in Avondale area at the Peaceful Living Production's Center and at the beaches community at Ocean Yoga Center in Atlantic Beach, FL. Both the beach and downtown community showed up for this new adventure. Great weekend. Hi There ... I'm writing this post real quickly to let you know that I'm working fast and furious to get my new website complete this summer. I created my goals during this down time and one of them was to get my websites completed, so we could all see, including me, a better form around all that we are creating here at Just A Beat Away. What you are reading now is My Blog Spot called 'Just A Blog' and it is linked from my 'new website' under the blog page tab. Then on the front page of this blog - there is a link to my 'new website' Just A Beat Away or you can click here and be immediately directed. So much is going on and transitioning to keep up with the Heartbeat Rhythms and the needs of the community. Please stay tuned. So, here are my sites that you can find me on currently: www.marilynashewilson.com www.JustABeatAway.com www.JustABeatAway.weebly.com (blog) Keepin' the Beat!!! Marilyn How thrilled was I to finally be attending a HealthRHYTHMS Training with my mentor for 5 years - Christine Stevens. Tell me why I didn't get a photo with her...please....I have no idea...star struck :)... Plus, busy, tired, busy, tired.... Either Way, I was there with her and Dr. Bittman -- the leaders in the HealthRHYTHMS protocol program. Training was everything I thought it would be and more. I'm excited to bring it to our health and wellness community. When we weren't in the training we were having fun too. Drum Circles and participating in the simulcast DrumSTRONG annual fundraiser. Never got to enjoy Ft. Lauderdale, but sure enjoyed my weekend anyway. It was also a lot of fun hosting at my house before I left for Lauderdale, another Drum Circle Facilitator from Denver, CO..- NEYSA -.she was on her drum-about and looking for places to lay her head on her way to the Training. I was thrilled to offer her our house and learn all she knows about drumming...Fun time. Well, a whole bunch of us music groupies and musicians decided to get away for a long weekend and just set up and play music all weekend long. So, we rented a beautiful B&B close to Brunswick, GA - The Horse Stamp Inn -- and fortunately the Inn Keeper is a musician and drum player, so he was delighted with a weekend of music under his roof. He set up the entire living area with a sound system and congas, bongos, guitar, etc. We were in heaven. Even Franky Baby (my hubby) started looking like a cowboy and country boy. It was the Shilby's, the Esplings, Roc & Rachel, Angie, Sue, Robin, Cindy Foley, Helena. So much fun. So honored to be asked to play percussion for two of the live bands performing at the Annual Art Festival - Art in the Park - In Atlantic Beaches' Johanssen Park on April 27. The Espling Band with Stevee, Ben, and Aja Espling and Acoustic Flutations with David and Linda Shilby. Both different styles of music but the congas rocked to both of them. I played for several hours and then headed to a drum circle birthday party that night. The day was full of rhythm and joy! I love Re-Inventing myself.
